Undergraduate researcher Lucas Madak (3rd year) remains the only lab member to present our research off-campus (so far!). He had opportunities to present a poster at a PSU Eberly College of Science Event, and to give a talk at the 31st Annual McNair Scholars Research Conference, held at University of Maryland - Baltimore County in September. His talk and poster, both titled: "Exploratory synthesis and targeted modifications of layered hybrid solids," detailed his efforts to synthetically isolate new crystalline organic-inorganic hybrid semiconductors.
Lucas earned a spot in the prestigious Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program at Penn State, which generously supported his research for 10 weeks this summer and continued this support throughout the fall.
Well done, Lucas! You are a phenomenal ambassador for our group!
